The
Right Ways to Get Rid of Pimples
and Acne
Get rid of
acne is not simple.
You have probably heard about getting rid of acne in 3 days or overnight or quickly and fast. Many books have been written on the
subject, many products
have been manufactured, and many companies Inc have been created to
treat adult and teen
acne problems.
If you have heard tons of contradictory information
about treating acne and
you need to deal with a big red pimple really fast but you don’t
know what to do the following lines will be very helpful for
you.
Remember that
you should never pinch, squeeze or pick at the pimple no matter how
nasty it stays on your face. Otherwise you will only make it seem
more red and inflamed, and the worst thing is that you will spread
the bacteria and oils that caused it to other parts of your
face.

Besides, the
scars left afterwards are really hard to heal.
How to get rid
of acne and pimples?
What you can do
instead is to put an ice pack to the pimple every 30 minutes and
hold it there for about 2 minutes. This is needed so that the
swelling and redness are decreased. And if you are feeling pain
that sometimes comes along with the inflammation, ice will
definitely soothe it.
Once you deal with the swelling, you should use a concealer to
covering the pimple. You only need a light dose of flesh-tinted
concealer to mask the redness and the oily shine. This is a good
method if you are in a hurry.
Apart for the ‘emergency’ actions mentioned, you always have to
take good care of your skin. Try to cleanse it 2-3 times
a day with mild, unscented soap or a specialized acne cleanser.
Make sure they don’t contain any harsh chemicals such as
lye.
For scrubbing
your skin use an exfoliating pad or washcloth, but don’t rub very
gently so that you don’t sap your skin of its own natural
oils.
You may try
applying an ointment or cream containing salicylic acid
or benzyl peroxide. These ingredients are generally found
in over-the-counter acne medicines but pay attention to
the fact that they both have a tendency to dry out skin so if your
skin is too sensitive it is not recommendable to use
them.
For the women who wear a lot of make- up on their face, the best
option is to choose oil-free makeup. Remove your makeup at night
and cleanse with an acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and
makeup that is left deep within your skin.
Other treatments include applying a dab of toothpaste on the affected area
right before bed or pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton
ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for a few
minutes.
Also when it
comes to cosmetics try using acne skin care products that do not
promote blemishes. These
are labeled as non-comedogenic and they should not clog
pores.
For the boys
who are shaving it is advisable to try different types of razors
and see which one damages his skin less. Very good options are
electric razors or safety razors.
Other long-term remedies, such as diet adjustments, facial masks,
and a good quantity of water that you should drink can also help
deal with outbreaks.
But it is
always recommended to ask a doctor or dermatologist for skin care
advice. He will be able to give you a good cleaning program or
prescribe a medication to help you getting rid of acne and
pimples.
